This morning started off a little rough as we had not taken a shower for two days and we were just trying to save money by not staying in a hotel in the big cities. But we got up in the car in San Diego and then Headed back north to Los Angeles so we can explore the city a little bit. When we left San Diego we headed north.
Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee and the gas station was on our list. We quickly experienced how expensive gas was on the West Coast where I believe we paid $3.44 gallon. With this we were able to re-wet in our contacts and somewhat feel fresh for the rest the day after cleaning out the car for a moment. From this point we headed on into the city of LA and our first stop was to go to lunch at a local food truck that served Mexican food. This was a great bargain for an expensive city as each burrito was only a couple dollars.
From here we continued on over to the Sunset strip to walk down and find the Hollywood sign. We did just that and also went down Hollywood Boulevard. From this point we decide to head back into the community of Beverly Hills and explore some of the larger houses but to our dismay we were in able to see him due to the high hedges. From this point we decided to drive over to Santa Monica and take a look at Laguna Beach and enjoy the waves near the evening sunset. This was her first experience driving the Pacific West Coast as we envisioned because at this point to start getting. Elevated and the waves were spectacular at this time of day. We decided to drive north to the city of Orin. We stayed at the vagabond inn that night that was well worth the money. After, the night came to an end we decided to have Dennys to have some food before bed.
