Today was to be spent with Ashleys family, and to explore downtown Rochester with her. Her family treated us well the night before spending time with us, and we were to go to breakfast in the morning with them. We went to a local restaurant on the lake, and it was wit her entire family in the area….which evidently was quite a bit of people as 10 people showed up for breakfast. I guess they had not seen her in a long time (years), and decided to get together to meet. This was nice to see, and I believe we all got along for breakfast.
After breakfast it was time for us to split ways and Ashley was to give me a short tour of the city. We went to the world famous Genesse brewery, and had a few beers during a car rally/ show in the parking lot. This brewery was wonderful, and overlooked the waterfall behind the building.
By the late afternoon we had to head back to the house so the family could cook us dinner. I believe it was spaghetti and meatballs they made for us. Nice dinner for being free! Before the sun went down it was necessary to do an oil change in their driveway. Once that was done, it was time to go out for the night, per Ashleys idea.
We wanted to get out of this area for the night so at night she took me to a place called the Bug Bar, which is a bit of a dive. However featured awesome bands and unique atmosphere. Overall a really cool experience with interesting people. Time to continue the adventure the next day.
