This morning started in Norfolk, VA, and the only goal we had to get to today, was the Wright Brothers National Memorial Monument. This is not the most exciting this we have seen this trip, however I knew it was an important area and time in the USA that is memorialized, that we should see.
The park itself is the plot of land where the Wright Brothers flew the first aircraft. It features a large stone monument as a testament to their achievement. There are multiple walkways around the park, but all focused on the central monolith. After enjoying the walkaway around the monument and taking a few pictures, we decided to head south to Wilmington. This was about a 2 hours drive south of the Wright Brothers Monument.
Our ONLY goal for the day had been complete, and we were continuing our southbound exploration. We were still tired from the immense exploration we had accomplished the previous months, thus it was time to rest, and once again we booked a hotel, and decided to go to Hooters for all you can eat crab legs for dinner. Yes crab legs, and they were awesome! Either way the day came to an end quickly, and we were in position to get up and head southbound the next day for a scenic drive into Charleston.
